Get your costume ready early, and contact us about incredible handmade accessories available for purchase! Tonight's party is a celebration of Mexico's iconic La Catrina. With roots linked to her indigenous past, La Catrina was the creation of cartoonist and political satirist, Jose Guadalupe Posada of Aguascalientes. Made famous by Diego Rivera, created in 3 dimensional form by Juan Torres, and taken to Europe for a series of unique photographic installations by Jesus Alexandre, Catrina has been adopted as the symbol for Dia de Muertos.
We created our first Catrina Party during Dia de Muertos in 2018 in Morelia, and this year are moving it to the Pueblo Magico of Patzcuaro. Due to the size of this years venue, we can open this to the public for the first time, offering a party that can host a substantial crowd.
