The Domingo de Ramos Parade returns to Uruapan after two years being cancelled due to Covid.  We are excited to be attending the amazing parade on Saturday April 9 this year!

PLEASE NOTE:  Lila Downs is performing at 8:30 PM this evening.  As we were unable to secure hotels, we will not be staying for this concert.  If you would like to stay, the cost of a taxi back to Patzcuaro is approximately $600 Pesos.  Morelia will cost around $1000 pesos for a taxi.

FROM MORELIA

Saturday April 9, 2022

Our van departs Morelia at 8:30 AM on Saturday April 9, 2022.  Commute to Uruapan is approximately 1.5 hours, but we have allowed extra time for traffic and so you may find a good spot to situate yourself for the parade.  Guests may want a folding chair, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and a large bottle of water.  Snacks are also advisable.

Following the parade, enjoy browsing the art market, which is comprised of between 1500-2000 vendors.  During this time, you may also head to the food market for something to eat.

Meet your guide at 2:00 PM and depart Uruapan for the ancient city of Tingambato.  From Tingambato, return to Morelia around 6 PM.

Price:  $700 Pesos per person is for transportation only.  Entrance to Tingambato and lunch are extra.

Tips are customary in Mexico - please consider tipping if you are happy with your guide.
