SYNOPSIS

We departed Patzcuaro in the morning for the Pueblo Magico of Santa Clara del Cobre.  Visiting Casa Felicitas, Maestro Rafael demonstrated how copper is made, and the guests partook in testing their skills.  From Santa Clara, we departed for the embroidery studio of Teofila Servin, and around the lake-side, past Ihuatzio village and the Cucucho Cemetery, for the Pueblo Magico of Tzintzuntzan.  Here we had lunch and then explored the incredible Ex-Convent, before driving around the back of the lake to visit Mezcaleria Palomas Mesajeras to pick up a bottle of special Mezcal.  We then stopped at Hacienda Oponguio, where they were in the midst of agave harvest, and processing mezcal.  We tried Inaquidens and Cupreata Mezcal, and made our way to our last stop, at the Temple of Santa Muerte.
