AGUA BLANCA RESORT
Agua Blanca Resort is located in Jungapeo, which is at a lower altitude than much of the surrounding region. The warmer climate lends itself to a more lush environment, and the dark sky at night means brighter stars than most other places you will visit in Michoacan.
The thermal pools of Agua Blanca are considered hot springs, but we also don't want to shock guests by their cool temperatures. These pools are regulated at a temperature topping 34 degrees, so they are not "hot" - but are not cold either. The minerals promote skin health, though one would need to stay here longer than one night to benefit from the medicinal properties of the water. This is a beautiful experience, regardless - and a lovely place to unwind with a good book on a warm afternoon.
Agua Blanca Resort offers massages, and though the accommodations are somewhat rustic, the food is largely sourced from their own gardens, and beautifully presented.
